Being free

(Previously published on 27 May, 2015)

It’s so easy to live in the shadows of yourself

Easy to be distracted from the beauty that you are

Easy to be everything others want you to be

Easy to not make a move cause your comfort zone is easier

But being free can be refreshing

Being free can be rewarding

Being free can be a lifeline

Being free can be liberating

For freedom is to love you without apology

To believe in you without shame

To spread your wings and push your limits without fear of failing

And to forgive your mistakes without regret or self-condemnation

For no one is perfect

Not even you…

No one is perfect

Well… maybe the rainbow

No one is perfect

No matter how hard you try

No one is perfect

…and free air is beautiful
